It is warmer and I have put my snowboots away….not very far yet as it is still April!  It is nice to just walk out the door without having to bundle up and put on the heavy boots.  There have even been a few nights where it has stayed above freezing.  Ah, yes.  Spring is here.  Are the greenhouses open yet?

Posted on Facebook - "We will be accepting payment for the 2024 season at the Emerson Golf Course on Sunday April 14th from 1 PM to 5 PM , Visa/ MC / Debit payments will be available. If you wish to pay cash, bring the exact amount as there will not be a float available at that time.

Couple rate is $650 including tax
Single rate is $440 including tax
Yearly trail fees are $105 including tax
Shed rental is $315 including tax. (Includes trail fee)
Family rate is $825 including tax
junior rate is $100 including tax (ages 13 to 18)
Student is $180 including tax (over 18 and attending school)
Kids rate is $50 including tax (Children under 13) Note children under 13 can golf for free if accompanied by a paid adult.
We also have a 10 round voucher for $141.75 including tax

Chair Yoga for seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 pm at the New Horizons. The cost per session is $2.

Alzheimer's Society Education & Information Session

Come learn about how to get give and receive support for those living with dementia and those also affected by it. Please register with Danielle @ 1204-542-0689

Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation.  The cancer care support squad will be putting on a Hope and Resilience class online at the Healthy Living Centre. It will focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Mindfulness also know at CBTM.  It will run Thursdays at 1-230pm.  If you are interested or want more info please call Danielle @ 204-542-0689

Emerson Public Library is located at the Emerson Town Hall.  Their hours are:
Monday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday - Closed.  Check their Facebook page for Sunday and evening hours.  Closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.  For more information, call the Town Hall and Emerson Public Library at 204-373-2002.

Darlene Klapka will continue to handle bookings for hall rental of New Horizons Centre, she can be reached at 204-373-2373.  Rental has been raised to $120 for nonmembers and $75 for members. 

At New Horizons Centre, Shuffleboard - On Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:00, men are welcome to come play cribbage, shuffleboard, play pool, or just gather for coffee.  $2 per person.

At New Horizons Centre, on Fridays, at 9:30, women are welcome to have a cup of coffee or tea and conversation.
